Journal of Urban Management and Energy Sustainability (JUMES) is an interdisciplinary semiannual peer reviewed publication which publishes original research papers, review papers, case reports and short communications. JUMES covers the subjects of urban management, planning and energy with a focus on sustainable development. The increasing urbanization of the world coupled with issues of environmental pollution, resource shortages and economic restructuring require that greater attention be given to making our cities sustainable. Meanwhile, problems of sustainable planning and management are not restricted to urban areas since rural areas face serious management challenges, too. Each issue of the JUMES journal is available both online and in print format. JUNMES is licensed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 International (CC- By 4.0).
